Full Swing For Kids

What a great way for kids to learn the basics of a great family sport.... Golf, "the game for a lifetime". We teach youngsters not only the solid fundamentals of the game, but also basic rules, courtesy and etiquette, 'do's' and 'don'ts' on the course, golf course maintenance, as well as learning sportsmanship from the great role models that the PGA TOUR players represent

This is the most important stage of their golf development. This focuses on the important fundamentals of setting up correctly ,[Grip, Alignment, Posture, Ball Position, and Distance from the Ball]. Once this foundation is in place, we go on the building a good swing; [takeaway, weight trsansfer, move to the top, starting the downswing, correct impact, and complete follow through]. We also emphasize courtesy, etiquette, do's and don'ts on the course, good sportsmanship, some of the basic rules, and looking after the golf course, [replace divots, fix ball-marks, rake bunkers, help with litter.

GOLF CAMPS FOR KIDS 2008

  • Every day, the kids have an Instruction session in the classroom, (about 35 minutes).
  • Then an outside teaching period where they use learning drills and teaching aids.
  • Every day, they practice hitting balls while receiving 'hands-on' coaching on the tee-line from their Instructor.
  • Each day, they have a fun round of mini-golf on one of our 2 great courses.
  • To get them accustomed to a real course, they play on our 3-hole Par-3 course.
  • We have team competitions, as well as "putting shoot-outs" for big prizes, (popsicles), so that the kids not only have fun while learning, but they try their best.
  • Emphasis is on fun, and great stuff to learn.

We recommend that "The Full Swing" should be their first class. Once they have taken it, and developed a good swing, they could go on to a 5-day Camp on "The Short Game Scoring Shots" from 40 yards and in. Click here for more details...
